Boardman has three public schools, two grade schools, and a Jr./Sr. High School. Riverside Jr. /Sr. High School has a student population of over 400, with class sizes averaging about 25. Riverside Jr./Sr. High is listed among the best high schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. In the state of Oregon only 33 high schools are medal winners. Sam Boardman Elementary School is a K-3 school of 350 students. Windy River Elementary School is a 4-6 school of 232 students.

Boardman schools are part of the Morrow County School District. Total district-wide enrollment is about 2,500 students. Boardman schools are modern, and equipped with the latest technology.
