Maintains the peeling equipment and ensures proper operation to meet productivity, food safety and employee safety requirements. Assists production supervisor with training of the team members on the peeling team. Monitors the quality of the product being processed by reviewing the specification, and performing grades of the product. Takes corrective action promptly when necessary. Supports all programs and policies that ensure that product is of the highest quality, meets specifications and is safe, legal and wholesome. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. English required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform
these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; three months related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
