Exhibits expert knowledge on all duties and responsibilities. Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery,
equipment, physical structures, and pipe. Safely operates and performs a variety of maintenance activities
including corrective maintenance (CM), preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) for
various industrial systems including but not limited to plant utilities, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, steam, water,
gas, waste water, compressed air, and building systems. Must be able to safely apply knowledge and
troubleshooting skills to all assigned facility systems. Supports all programs and policies

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Qualifies to connect, disconnect, and transport forward and backward, all trucks and trailers on site. For further career advancement obtains a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) class A.
• Qualifies as a shift Supervising Operator in Low Risk, High Care, and Cut and Chill within 6 months. (See S.28.34 Shift Operations Supervisor Job Description)
• Qualifies as a Shipping Assistant within 6 months. (See S.28.35.1 Shipping Assistant Job Description)
• Troubleshoots basic electrical systems. For further career advancement, may become General Journeyman, Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant, or Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) - state of Oregon.
• Learns basics of refrigeration system through Industrial Refrigeration Course 1 (RETA). Achieves Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) within 6 months. May also become Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO), or Certified Refrigeration Energy Saver (CRES)
• Must Stick weld (chilled metal arc) and practice MIG welding (gas metal arc). Career advancement, may become TIG welder (gas tungsten arc) commonly used for stainless steel sanitary applications.
