Sanitation Laborer - East

Performs cleaning tasks with the use of high pressure hoses (air and hot water) and tools such as scratch pads, brushes, sponges, squeegees, paper towels, shovels, brooms, buckets, wheel barrows, carts, and ladders.

Removes static product, foreign material, and product build-up from equipment.

Job Description 

• Promote safe work practices and assures they are being followed in all work areas.
• Have good communication/computer/math skills.
• Assist in training of employees.
• Will be assigned work projects that need to be completed in a safe and timely manner.
• Will be required to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Applicant must be able to work any shift/day of the week including rotating. * Must be able to perform to work with loud noise, fumes airborne particles, and in hot/humid or cold environment.
• Must be able to stand, stairs, reach, push/pull and have stamina functions independently with minimal supervision.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume for the proper mixing of chemicals. 
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.?
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions like chemical usages.  Ability to deal with problems involving safety and sanitary issues etc. 
• Employees is regularly required to stand.  The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, as well as talk and hear.  (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
